I am planning on getting the brother of this baby Panda Bear so they will know one another. I don`t know how to introduce them and want them to breed. I will separate them in the future if necessary but I really want another one. She is 4 weeks old and I just got her 2 days ago. I am going to buy another cage the connects by Fun-nels please I need as many tips as possible including when should I get him?
Answer:
Any cage that can be connected by tubes sucks, just saying. You should move your hamster into either a wire rat cage, nothing smaller than 12"x24", or a glass aquarium, no smaller than 10 gallons.
Those cages are not designed for Syrians, but for dwarfs. Syrians can get stuck in the tubes and die, these cages are not good for them.
Okay, here's some facts.
Never keep syrians together, even if they're same-sex siblings.
Never breed hamsters unless you are a professional breeder.
Never breed siblings.
Don't do it. Just don't put two syrians together, they'll murder one another and then you'll be completely hamsterless and sad.
If you really want another hamster, keep them completely separated on opposite sides of the room and never introduce them to one another.
