Frequently Asked Questions...
How accurate does frontline plus have to be applied?
I am a new dog owner and just applied Frontline Plus for the 1st time on my dog. How accurately do you have to apply the dose? It says between the collar bones under the fur...I believe I got skin contact, but she was squirming around so I don't know how well it made direct skin contact. Also, how "directly" between the collar bones...I know these may seem silly questions, I just want to make sure I am doing what is best for my dog. Thanks!!!
Answer:
You did fine. What I usually do is when I have the frontline open and ready I go against the fur between the shoulder blades and up the neck a little. As long as it is in a spot where the dog can't lick it off it's fine. You don't have to be accurate. My vet always puts the first dose on our pups and he has put it partially down their backs not just at the shoulders and we've never had any problems. If she squirms alot, try holding a treat in front of her with one hand while you apply with the other. When you're done, give her the treat, problem solved.
