How To Choose The Best Chinchilla Cage
So now you have all of these little Chinchillas running around the house and no where to put them all. Therefore, you are going to need cages to put them in. There are many different shapes and sizes of Chinchilla cages on the Internet for sale. As well as at your local pet, store.
Any one of these cages, from around 30" to 48" inches in height and length, should be big enough for your pet to have plenty of room, if it has multiple levels, with a solid floor. You can add some ramps in which your chinchilla can climb on, or maybe even some tree limbs. Most cages come with a tray that comes out of the bottom. This would be an ideal cage for a Chinchilla; it will have plenty of room to move around in. As long as the chinchilla has room to be active, it should be healthy.
Maybe you need smaller cages for baby Chinchillas. There are many size cages to choose from for chinchilla pets to live in. Smaller cages only need used temporarily while the babies remain small.
If for some unknown reason, you cannot afford to buy one of these cages. You can build a cage of our own. You can find plans and size measurements on the Internet. As well as easy, systematic instruction as to how to build a gage that is safe for your pet chinchilla.
The cage you pick out for your chinchilla you can customized to your pet once you figure out what the chinchilla likes. You can add or remove things in the cage. Owners can get a larger cage and fill it with fun things to do. Placing toys that hang from the sides and roof are good for the chinchilla. Shelves for the chinchilla to rest on at night maybe added. A hammock for the chinchilla to play or lounge in is an item for cages.
Owners can place things like grass boxes, and tubes in these cages, these can be used for play as well as sleeping during the day, and owners can even have cages built to their chinchilla's specific needs.
Chinchillas like to chew on many things so a chew proof cage is a good ideal. This makes a nice home for a Chinchilla who enjoys chewing on his or her cage. This way the chinchilla will not be able to consume any thing that could harm it. Plastics, or treated wood are not ideal materials recommended for use in the making or materials in a cage.
Many of these cages would be great for your pet Chinchillas. These cages feature plenty of room for your Chinchilla to move around in and many different places for them to lie. Hopefully, this will give you the Chinchilla owner an insight about what kind of cage you will need for your Chinchilla. Good luck with your little creatures. May they enjoy the cage that you provide for them.
