Most children are very fascinated with flying objects such as kites, and to some extent, Superman. This is why I’ve also started my obsession with bird feeders because inviting Superman to the house is out of the question because my husband is an extremely jealous guy.
There are a lot of factors that you can benefit from a bird feeder such as its craftsmanship that can help boost your lawn. I want to tell you how to make a bird feeder so that you and your children can have some wonderful bonding experience.
There are different ways and tools to make a bird feeder. The most popular bird feeder, and also the simplest to make is the cone feeder. In a pine cone, put peanut butter on the slits and roll bird seeds on them. Use a string to tie it in your window. Your children and also you can stand by the window and wait for the birds to come by.
Using a milk carton is another way of making a bird feeder. This is how to make a bird feeder using a carton: Cut a small portion of the carton and staple the top part. Put a hole in the top portion and that is where you place your string so you can hang it in your garden. You can also paint it along with your kid so that it can enhance both your creativeness. What you do lastly is to put the bird seeds in the holes and wait for the birds to come by. That's it.
The breakfast feeder is my personal favorite. Just get some cookies, put holes into them for the strings, brush melted margarine over them and sprinkle the bird seeds. You can tie it in trees, plants or any area of your home. However there is a slight problem with this, it might not only attract birds but other species as well, probably your children or your husband.
However, bird feeders in the market are in exciting shapes and sizes that choosing one is so hard to handle. But for another bonding exercise, take the kid with you so the kid chooses that one that he likes best. If they choose one that is out of your style, or perhaps not in sync with the design of your home, just let your children look for another one explaining why it wont do. However if you select a bird feeder on your own, your children will always like it.
The cutest I've seen so far is a bitten apple and you place the seeds inside, it will give the impression that the bird is pecking the apple; you might want to take a picture of this epic moment though. One more design that attracted me is the feeder that has many bird figurines, whenever a lonely bird comes by, it would never feel alone.

Preferably places with fairly cheap shipping options. I was going to order houseflies from the guy I got my mantids from, but it's like $20 for shipping when the flies themselves are only $1.50 for 200 pupae.
